South Korea’s FSS Integrates AI into VISTA Platform to Combat Crypto Market Manipulation
South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) is upgrading its VISTA platform with artificial intelligence to automatically detect illegal activities in the cryptocurrency market. The system, originally built using Python, will now leverage AI trained on known market scams to identify suspicious transactions in real-time.
The MOVE comes as criminals employ increasingly sophisticated methods, including high-frequency trading via APIs to manipulate prices within milliseconds. The FSS has already installed high-performance servers with advanced CPUs and GPUs in December to support the new AI-driven detection model.
This technological enhancement represents South Korea's continued crackdown on cybercrime in 2026, with authorities prioritizing automated surveillance over manual investigation processes. The upgraded system will generate visual maps of suspicious transactions as they occur.
